More Things I Didn't Learn in Bible College

1) How to Perform a Wedding

2) What to Do at a Hospital Visit

3) How to Baptize Someone

4) The Unique Churchy Vocabulary People Bring From Their Various Backgrounds

5) How to Budget, Write Ministry Plans, Develop a Schedule...well, really anything administrative

...some of these are sillier than others. However, in retrospect, it seems very peculiar that our training centers for pastors don't teach you how to perform weddings, pastoral roles, or baptisms. It's also strange they don't teach much on administrative stuff even though modern day churches are jam packed with administrative stuff.

I feel I was well prepared for my teaching ministry (of course I did major in Bible teaching), but most everything else I've learned from books, blogs, mp3s, internships, and by trial and error.
