Thinking of Returning to Blogging

I haven't really done much blogging over the last year and half. This has been a mostly intentional.

I enjoy writing. I enjoy using writing as a method of processing life and ministry. Likewise, I think there's great benefit to thinking through ministry in a setting where there's no pressure.

However, I don't like the idea of using a blog to make myself or my ministry look better or more spiritual than it actually is. I also don't want to treat myself like an expert, when I am not. I'm still learning how to do ministry in my context. I really don't want to be better at writing about ministry than I am at doing ministry.

All that to say, I'm hoping to start blogging regularly again, and I'm not sure what that will look like. I think it would be fascinating for Sean 2011 to critique the writings of Sean 2008. Maybe critique isn't the right word, but it would be interesting to see how my perspective has changed over the last 3 years.
