Busiest of the Busy Seasons

Originally I was going to title this blog, "Busy Season," but in ministry, it's always the busy season.  Sunday comes every week without exception.  And even in the months with fewer imminent events, you find yourself desperately trying to play catch up, get ahead, or plan for the crazy months.

Student ministry in particular seems to have a rather brisk pace.  They have a great deal of free time, therefore there is a lot opportunity to do ministry.  Over the last month my ministry did a week long leadership training camp for students, and then those students spent a week leading Bible clubs at homes throughout our city.  In the next month I'm going to drive a bunch of students from central Texas to Florida for a beach retreat, and then a week later I'm driving a group of students out West to a Navajo Reservation for a mission trip. I think I'll be driving around 3,000 miles this month.

All this to say, I'll probably be a bit spotty on blogging until mid-August.  My goal is get ahead and have a number of scheduled blog posts, but if I must choose between my family, my ministry, and my blog...the blog probably shouldn't win.
