Hopefully you've had the pleasure of serving underneath a good leader. Normally they do things which just pop out as good practices. They do things which seem so obvious that you wonder why everyone doesn't do the same.
One of the first student pastors I served with was great about articulating the mission and strategy of the ministry. Everything was so well stated that everyone knew what they were supposed to be doing all of the time. Some of the volunteers in the ministry had 20 years of student ministry experience, but they viewed his ministry as the most organized ministry they'd ever served under.
Since I can recognize his actions as good leadership, it would be foolish for me to ignore what he did. If his actions helped a team of people to feel empowered and strive for a common goal, I need to learn from his success.
Who are the good leaders around you?
Who is the best boss you've ever had?
What can you learn from them?
