In ministry it's easy to feel the weight of ministry, the pain of failure, and the frustration of slow periods. Those feelings can cause us to forget that what we're doing didn't start with us. It didn't start with our parents or grand parents. It started in the Garden of Eden right after the first sin. In the most direct sense, we (as Christians) have been on a mission since Jesus gave us the Great Commission.

By serving God, regardless of our immediate feelings, we're on the winning team. Not only that, we're unstoppable. Even our worst defeats are just times when God is choosing to work in a different way. When we stop looking at things from man's perspective, and looking at them from God's, suddenly we realize we can't be defeated when we serve God.
